I'm a little wilder when it comes to hair...Now I've seen a really wild, funky hairdo I would like to get - short with really long streaks ramdomly across. I do have short hair, which means I would need extensions. How long does my hair need to be before extensions can be put in?If anyone could help I would appreciate it.ThanXLeanan

Leanan,I think technically your hair only has to be a few inches long, and some professionals will apply them to short hair. From what I've seen however, they don't look believable on shorter hair. There's not much of your hair to hide the attachment point, and you have all these odd short pieces on top of your long hair. My sister-in-law had them added to her short (2 to 4 inch) hair, and it just looked all wrong. She had them removed immediately.I'd also check Ron's link and the article archive on this site. I /think/ Karen interviewed a guy in Texas who said he only applies them to chin-length hair.Ally
