I'm having a hard time deciding which Aveda Styling Aid to use. Either the Thermal Styling Creme or the Retexturizing Gel. I wear my hair in a chin-length bob, and usually it's just fine if I towel it dry and leave it! But sometimes I want a more finished look so I blow-dry with a vented metal brush just to shape it a little more. Any suggestions or preferences for either the Thermal Styling Creme or the Retexturizing Gel? Is one more versatile than the other? My hair is fairly fine, but thick with some natural wave to it. Anyone out there able to compare the two? (I looked up the old product reviews but it didn't give me enough to decide) Thanks!Teresa

I've never tried the retexturizing gel, but I think the thermal styling creme would be too heavy for your hair. I use it sometimes when the ends of my hair (long hair). If you don't use it with a hairdryer and sometimes even with it can be greasy-looking. My favorite is the Phomollient. It's lighter and more liquid than a mousse. I think it works very well as it seems to detangle/condition, help hold style, and add body. It's expensive, but I use this instead of a bunch of products (conditioner, gel & hairspray)> Anyone out there able to compare the two?
