I have hair that has been previously chemically relaxed, butnot in the past 5 months. I have some hair damage, but I can't find anything to treat it with that works. the bad thing is, I go to salons where I live and they tell me that they don't know what I should do either. My hair is different because I have neither straight nor curly hair. I am biracial, my mother is white and my father is black, so people tell me that they have never known anyone with my kind of hair. I know people have hair like this, I just can't find anyone that knows anything about it. Can somebody help me?

Hi,How about braids? Either tiny ones or bigger ones? I have seen the hair some bi-racial girls have and I've always loved their hair.. it's beautiful! Not too curly not too straight... perfect colour and everything. You might like to try braiding your sides and take them to the back with a cloth elastic. If the texture of your hair is what I am picturing it should look lovely. You also might want to think about extentions to use for braiding or even have your hair done in cornrows. These are expensive but it's just a suggestion. As for treating the damage, as far as I know (which isn't much), once hair is damaged, it stays damaged. In that case you just have to grow out and trim off the damaged part of your hair so that you'll be left with undamaged hair. In the meantime if you aren't already doing so, keep using oils and moisturizers in your hair, and be gentle with washing and brushing.
