Hi,Well it depends on a variety of factors whether your hair will stay straight or not.I have had this discussion at length with Shelley Pryor, the Hair Boutique Hairstylist, who has really really curly hair. I mean probably the curliest hair you have ever seen.Shelley has told me that if there is humidity in the air or if she gets hot and starts to perspire, there is little that she can do to stop her hair from getting curly. The same is true for me, because I have a lot of wave in my hair.Personally I have found that KMS Flat Out works very well for my hair in terms of keeping it straight. However, if I sweat from working out at the health club, it starts to rain or get humid, my hair will wave. At that point, I pull it into a ponytail to minimize any waves or frizz. There are many "temporary" straightening gels out on the market. Shelley has tried many and finds that she have good look with Matrix Vavoom and carefully drying her hair with a paddle brush on a low, slow heat. She points out that you should avoid touching your hair with your hands while you blow dry. Also, make sure your hair is 100% dry before using a straighting iron.Another way that works for me and helps keep my hair relatively straight is to roll it on really large hot rollers AFTER I have washed and blow dried it and let them cool completely before removing them. Please note that this is not the best thing for your hair since repeated use of heat can harm it over time, however, for special events where I want my hair perfectly straight I will use KMS Flat out or ARTec Smoothingserum and then blow dry my own hair, slow, low heat and use a paddle brush to smooth each section. If I want lots of volume I will blow dry part of my hair upside down. There is a lot of controversy about whether this is a good idea or not. Many people have mixed opinions on whether this is good or bad.Anyway, try using ARTec Smoothingserum or KMS Flat out and blow dry your hair on a low heat, slow setting, using a paddle brush to keep straight. Then use a curling iron and/or large hot curlers. Try to limit touching your hair with your hands as much as possible since this adds frizz.Hope this helps.Best wishes,KarenPS. The longer my hair gets, the heavier it is and the less wave I have. It helps to wear your hair so that the wavy part is weighed down by other hair as much as possible.> I have tryed taking a curling iron and strighting my> hair out but I still get waves by the middle of the> day.> Is there any product I can use to help if stay smooth> and straight???> Thanx for your helpRelated Link:AskKaren - Temporary Hair Straightening Products
