Hello again...I have those annoying naturals curls that I have been wanting to straighten out. So I just recently bought the Con Air Straight Styles Steamer. It says in the instructions that you don't need to apply anything to your hair, and to dry it before using the straightener... So I dried it... It was FRIZZY!!! So I used the straighter thinking that maybe it would straighten it out and maybe take out the frizz... Well it straightened my hair out and took out a itty bit of the frizz, but there was still enough frizz left just to aggrivate me...So then the next night I washed, and dried my hair just a little bit then applied some leave in conditioner... Then I let it dry completely then tried to straighten it out... Well the same thing happened only worse... The leave in treatment left it gooey and left my hair wavy once it all dried... So I now feel kinda like there isn't anything more I can do...Bottom line is that I just need dry, straight, hair with out all the frizz within no more than 20 minutes... I hate having to go through this fuss every morning... PLEASE HELP!!! Its really keeping me depressed...Hope someone out there can come up with some great advice... I would appreciate it sooooo much...Tiffany

Try using a flat iron. They don't use steam, which could actually end up adding moisture to your straightened hair, causing it to frizz up. Belson Gold 'N' Hot makes a decent one for around $15-$20, but I've had two of them and both broke after a few months. I just recently invested in one made by Hot Tools. It has 10 different heat settings and works wonderfully. It takes the curl right out of my hair, but make sure you are using a good straightening balm, as well. I like Bumble and Bumble Straight and Rusk Str8.Hope this helps.

Hey Jessica! I will have to try it and see if it works... But I must ask... Since it doesn't have the steamer would it cause my hair to dry out and burn easily? Or is that the purpose for using the balm? Also when should I apply the balm? Sorry for all the questions... hehe... I just want to make sure it will turn out nicely, yanno? Thanks so much!Tiffany

Hi Tiffany!Maybe this will help. My Mom used to roll her hair in great big curlers and then blow dry. Her hair would come out straight. I've also heard of using pop cans in place of the curlers.Hope you find something that works!Dawn

use the largest velcro rollers on damp hair then blow dry or air dry
