Is there a way to get the look of dreadlocks temporarily and if so, how?

Hi,

Jennifer Anniston has been spotted with "temporary" dreadlocks. Also, at the recent runway shows, some of the models had "temporary" dreadlocks. You can get them two different ways.

Jennifer takes her hair and separates it into 1-2 inch thick strands. Then she takes a styling gel (ARTec Material or LA Looks or similar) and the coats the strand. Then she twists the section until it takes on a dreaded look. She applies gel to hold the twist and then repeats the process throughout her hair. It gives her a semi dreadlock look without the actual investment of the dreadlocks. The key is getting the sections to twist and stay twisted. That is where the gel comes in.

Don't twist the hair too much or it may be difficult to undo later.

The models on the runways used fake hair extensions that they pinned into their hair to give the dreadlock look.

Hope that helps.

Best wishes,
Karen Shelton
