FIREBIRD (an ode to my favorite redhead) Firebird, burn through the air glowing angel, Fire-hair light shines in adoring eyes Phoenix, from the ashes RISE! Golden girl with tear-stained eyes cried the night your beauty died reborn now with passioned grace flames that frame your lovely face Red and black and streaming gold Fire-hair and sister-soul basking in your brilliant glow Firebird, firebird, love you so. :) ------------- If I had wings then I could take you in I'd stay on the ground and show you some things The grass is strewn with blades of gold all sights and sounds I have been told all hopes, desires, seem to sing |
