Why is it I still see these little white guys still wearing doo rags? The other day I saw this dude late at night inside the grocery store wearing a doo rag, and the lines were hella long... he looked like a straight up wanna be urban dude with the face of a computer geek, and unfourtunetly for him, he was in line right behind this group of 5 black dudes who looked mean as hell... so instead of standing in line behind them and taking the possible encounter about his "head attire" he acted tough an said, "yo**** dis, ima be getting outta heaa deez lines is too long yo" and drops his **** and walks out... So like I said... if you're white, wear fubu and look stupid, rock a big ass gold chain and look like a poser, but for gods sake, DONT WEAR A DOO RAG, YOU'RE EMBARRISING ME.........  ------------- " I Wont Stop Till I Get Girls Swimmin' In My Hair...." I know this isn't a place for a lady but I do have to add my 2 cents in, please. I thought a doo rag was a "handkerchef(sp)-" the white and red kind, blue and white kind. Anyway, I had given myself a home haircut one time and it looked AWFUL!!!!! My husband said to put a doo rag on to hide the mistake. I wore it for about 2 weeks- didnot leave home without it! Finally I thought enough was enough. Just my two cents. Didn't mean to barge in. Just having some fun with this post! Didn't mean no harm! Have a GREAT day!!!!! 1st and foremost...we should have more discussion like this. and 2 I agree with ya boi. WHite people shouldn't wear them....I mean everybody shut up and think....why were du-rags/wavecaps made? for black hair purposes only.....now we've taken it and turned it into a fashion statement, in which suburban america tries to immitate.....the reason some whites try to be blacks is because of the following. 1.Getting even with parents for not being there 2.Want to be apart of the whoop-ass cliq, rather than the get-whipped cliq. 3.so they can use it around thier friends whom don't actlike it, and sound cool. Another point is that later on in life those same white boys who were wearing du-rags, will be cops, lawyers, judges,and politicians, and locking out black ass up. so that why I agree....because it's one big cycle of stereotypical upbringing......THIS IS THE TRUTH BELIEVE IT OR NOT. I think it's actually ignorance as far as claiming a certain style and applying it to only a certain RACE. I sorta kinda agree with m00t .. You can't go around saying someone is trying to talk black/white .. just because they use slang terms or speak PROPERLY... ... throughout middle school peeps got on my nerves with that .. "YOU TALK WHITE" ****.. and it's annoying because... That's like .. whipping a baby for cleaning up their spilled milk ... why slash someone for something positive.. As far as white people wearing du-rags.. nowhere on the label in fine print does it state.. "FOR BLACK USE ONLY" .. so I really see no problem with it.. I never saw a white go around asking why blacks wear Du-Rags and saying it's something BAD to see them wearing one... Your money is your money.. spend it how you wanna... Not denying my blackness in anyway .. but MOST black people (not DISRESPECTING CARDINALS OPINON) jump way back to slavery when subjects of black/white come up... its nice to see your talkin about the 20th century cus my history i was talking about dated way before that.... as nik3 said it doesnt say "made for blacks" ........ and yea yall say it looks stupid on whites....but people think it looks stupid on us too. and i would tell you something about durags but go look up the history on it and the stereotypes on that as well. the point i'm tryin to make is that because someone tries something out new and you claim it looks stupid on them, doesn't mean they are subjected to be treated a certain way. i'm 100% black but i belive in freedom of dressing at least. you know how stupid we look to some religions because we like to do un-natural things to our hair instead of sticking to our roots. let them be cus 20 years from now no one will care they are wearing durags just like how no one cares we wear suits or drive fancy cars which people back in the days "claimed" we were trying to be more like "the man". ------------- A nappy jamaican head turned good

also true you were speaking on black men in general but i wanted to reiterate that not all black men were always slaves until the american civil war. Many people choose to forget the carribean history and i believe that is a shame, this is why i brought it up. no dont get it wrong.. i was not discussing a time issue, and i know my carribbean history and how haiti was the first to win it's independence and what not...but those cars that were traded were not driven by black men first.... and we need to ease our minds on who had what first.... back when the trade was taking place there were probably whites to be specific who did not want to see people in haiti drive cars because they were specifically black.... but who are they to judge what people should use.... which is what i believe in the whole durag thing... just because we created it ... doesn't mean we are the only ones that are supposed to use it..... no beef...just facts ------------- A nappy jamaican head turned good
