Date Posted: April 11 2003 at 5:27pm I just the book by Lorraine Massey (Curly Girl) and she includes a weekly scalp exfoliation scrub, which sounds interesting but I am not sure how good it will work? I want to try but am not convinced. Has anyone tried it? How did it work? Did it leave your hair gooey? Or worse, did you have a sugary aroma on your hair after it was rinsed? Her recipe is: 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar 3 Tablespoons conditioner (Massey recommends against conditioners w/ cones). You are supposed to wet your hair, make the above paste, apply to your scalp and then massage the formula in a circular motion starting at the nape or your neck and moving upwards on the scalp. You are supposed to rinse thoroughly, then continue with a conditioning process.
