I have had my dreads about... 6 months or so now. But they have massive loops in them.. i mean really, really big loops . I been so busy, and out a lot recently (past 2-3 months) i have been neglecting them so they are also starting to matt together (which i know how to sort out) But just these loops which are annoying me. I mean i have about 3-4 massive loops per a dread. I dont know how to get them back into the dread? Any advice would be amazing! Please help me and i promise to never neglect my beautiful dreads again

What exactly is a loop? Is it a whole in the dread or is it hair coming out of the dread? ------------- Natural BC May 9, 2004 |

where hair is coming out of my dread, but only a loop of it has come out, so the beginning and end of the hair is nicely matted but the middle has formed a loose loop... |

| Get some thin metal wire from a craft store and some darning needles. Cut a portion of the wire off, thread it through the needle to make a loop, twisting to secure it. Then push the needle into your lock as close to the hair loop as possible. Push the needle and thread all the way through the lock, making sure to pull the loop into it as well. Palm roll it a bit to secure the hair; it should stay in there. |
