hmm i seen lots of asian doing it especially those who are really into the hip hop scene. a general rule for corn rows is to have shoulder length hair.

Daamn, your braids are cool as hell. So you have that thick straight asian hair like me I assume? Cause if you do, what's the longest you have kept them in, and whats the tips on keep your braids looking good.

Thanks, it's pretty simple to keep them looking nice. When you sleep, just sprtz water in your hair and also some spray gel. Not to the point where it's all drencged and dripping. Just apply an adequate amount. Then wear a du-rag to sleep, or whatever you are most comfortable with wearing on your head to keep your hair in place.
My hair is thin, fine and straight ... the typical Asian hair. But if you know someone who is really good with hair they would have no problems braiding your hair. I've been wearing cornrows for a long while now. And I really like it. I hope I've helped you enough with your questions, if you have anymore please post them. Good luck merry christmas.

Oh and the longest I've kept it in for was about 2 weeks. But I usually get it done a different style every weekend. When you have it in for that long of a time, it tendsd to itch, so what you do is rinse your hair out while you're showering but make sure the water isn't coming out too hard. Turn the water on to where the water feels like little rain drops. That way the water cleans out all of the oils and stuff, and does no damage to the braids. Then just pat your head with a towel, and proceed to blow drying it. Once you feel it is dry enough, then apply spray gel.

Thanks a bunch man!
I was startin to loose hope my hair would be able to braid at a short length (4 - 5 inches) But now that you've had them and told me im glad to know I can do it, now I can finally actually get em', now it's just the process of growing my hair.
P.S.
Who ever did your braid's did a hell of a job, in my opinion they actually look better than some black people with slick braids.

i see no problem with thick str8 asian hair doing corn rows. i have seen some guys and girls do them here in malaysia. they look cool if you are into that kind of style. i have seen mostly r n b and hip hop artist here doing the style. my sister did half of her hair and she was crazy about it. i dont know if i would do it. my scalp would get super ictchy.
