i've got naturally darkish brown hair that i've dyed to about light brown in the past and want to get back to my natural color - loreal preference med golden brown turned out perfect but really faded after 3 weeks - went to Sally's to inquire about semi-permanent as i guess it'll be easier on my hair if I have to redo it all the time anyway and the saleslady told me to get a clairol complements dark gold blonde to get the color i want (fyi my hair is long but in very healthy condition as I don't style at all and don't shampoo but every 4 days)
does this sound right??
pls give me your advice b/4 i do this (i didn't know what to do so i bought the one she said but i can always exchange it)
fyi both clairol and loreal phone people told me not to use semi permanent but i dont' understand why b/c i dont want to lift just deposit - can anyone explain
pls, pls, pls

Getting my hair back to it's natural color is something that I've given up on. I don't have the money for a salon, so the parental unit tries to buy me colors that match my shade. Every single time, they turn out a more golden color than my hair actually is.

I guess that if you're on the search for hair color, you can try semi-permanent (so not to complicate things more). Another thing to try is to buy your dye a few shades darker, because that stuff does fade.
