i'm just curious...I had my hair highlighted last week. (i have dark brown hair) and the highlights turned out really blonde. Some pieces were almost white blond! I really liked it, except I wanted it just a little bit darker. So the stylist said she would darken it a LITTLE for me, cuz i only wanted it darkened A LITTLE. So she darkened it today and now i can't even see the highlights. My hair looks like it did BEFORE i got any highlights. My friend tells me not to worry cuz she says the toner color will wash out quick. Is this true? I kinda hope so, cuz I'm not happy about paying a lot of money and looking the same. I'd rather have the blonde highlights I had before! Has this ever happened to anyone? Any suggestions and help would really be appreciated! thanks!

It depends on what they used to darken.

If she really did use a toner, it should lighten up. Especially if your ends are alittle porous.

Did you tell her what you thought? Have you called her back?

thanks for replying! I don't know what she used....no, I didn't tell her what I thought becuz my hair was still a lil wet, and I thought when it dries completely, i would be able to see some highlights. And I don't wanna seem like too much of a nag, since she was nice enough to offer to darken it for me....i dunno, it was my first time doing highlights, so next time, I'll know better!

Nice enough? Its her job to make sure you are happy.

Never leave a salon after having color done with wet hair. The stylist should never allowed you to leave until she dried it alittle and made sure you were happy.

I'm sorry you had this experience. If you are in the sun alot this summer, it will fade faster, BUT do not use sun-in on it or any other lightener.

Good Luck
