i was wondering if there was way to do some coloring effects liek the illuminatons shown on the elumen website:  i love these two but i wanna know if and how i can do them or something similar..but on shorter hair..like maybe have the color get darker as it goes down the head. Thanks! |

Well, following the instructions on the website, it looks like it basically involves bleaching portions of the hair in unusual configurations so as to provide contrast among the colors. The one seemed pretty straightforward, but "Aura" was more complicated and if you noticed it took a variety of different colors during the final step to achieve the result. It's a shame you can't first practice on one of those real hair, beauty school heads they use because this looks like something that requires a bit of experience to accomplish. You might want to discuss it with a stylist and see if it would work with other colors besides Elumen. Elumen has a particular shimmer of its own and the effect may not be exactly the same using other products. It mentioned the styles were developed for Elumen. Hope I explained that OK.
