i've been coloring my hair for about 4 years and i am 16 years old now. my hair is about to the middle of my back and i had a faded color of brown so i decided to make it lighter by using a lighter color of brown and i left it longer and it turned black. Ive had black hair for about 3 months and im thinkging of stripping it...ive heard its horrible for your hair...i just want some information on what it does and will it work. im thinking of dying it brown and if i can do that without stripping the black or not. PLEASE HELP ME

I heard the shampoo Prell strips color...but maybe not entirely. Also, try a clarifying shampoo, like, 3 times in a row within the 1st 24 hours of the coloring. That should fade it some at least.

Go to a professional.

This is something you don't want to try at home.

Are we talking about permanent haircolor here? Does Prell fade permanent haircolor? I just need mine to lighten up a little bit. Also, did I read on these boards to rinse with tomato juice?

Just posted on another thread that I needed to remove an ash that grabbed on the shaft and ends really dark.

Used Effasol by L'Oreal. Mixed with warm water and left on for 5 min. Perfect. Not too orange and perfect for toning with a sem-perm color now.
