Okies....I'm gettin' ready to go get my hair cut and colored for the beginning of the new school year. I wanna do something new...any thoughts?

Here are a couple pics...My hair, currently, falls to about my collarbones in front and slightly longer in back. It's naturally very curly, and very thick.

What a cute, round little face! I think maybe a chin-length bob at the front that angles up at the back, with a tapered nape, and bold streaks or highlights would be really pretty.

Thank you :) I actually gave some thought to getting that cut...but then I took into account the fact that I have very curly, hard to manage hair...I'm not sure that'd be a smart idea with the amount of attention a cut like that would require :)

What does it look like if you wake up and just do nothing with it? Does it make like spirals or funky sticky-outy curls or what?

Oh, and how does it behave differently when shorter as opposed to longer? Does it get curlier when shorter? Fluffier? Does it tend to frizz a lot? Or is it pretty well-behaved?

If I don't do anything with it, It makes very tight curls, waves, and ringlets. It's when I try and make it presentable that it all just goes to Hell, and frizzes to the high heavens. I have a harder time with it shorter. Since my hair is pretty heavy, the length tends to bring it down to a dull wave...lol

So if you did the angled bob thing you'd have to straighten it every day to make it look presentable. It would probably be better to do something that'll work with the curls, so if you were lazy or running late one day, it would still look all right. *thinks* Maybe a more one-length bob would work better, if you didn't mind looking kind of like the girl from _Dirty Dancing_ on lazier days. . . maybe light layers, but I think too many would make it want to act out more, probably. But if you usually straighten it every day, that wouldn't be quite as big a concern.

Don't cut it, it will only end up going out all puffy. Personally I'd like to try a bob type thing too on the way to growing it out really long, my hair is around that lgneth but way too wavy curly so I have to grow it out (which I prefer anyway).

Although I think once your hairs been long, it might be a little straigter than before you grew it out.

That might be true, actually. I know I have a friend who used to have adorable spiral curls when she was very young, but has kept it really long most of her life, and now no matter what length she has it, it never does more than a slight curl. . . I'd almost call it just wavy by now. . . So if you've been wearing long hair for a long time, it might well be straighter now than you remember.
