Is this possible....

I''ve had my medium brown hair bleached, and colored...twice. It is now a light golden/reddish blonde. I want to GET RID of the red...and my goal has been an ash/natural blonde. I''m more interested in getting the right shade than going lighter. (in other words, I don''t mind it getting a little darker)
When I have it done at the salon, my stylist uses foils to bleach the dark color out of my hair, and then she adds a color on top of that. The end result is beautiful...well blended and looks natural, but it isn''t the shade I want...its too red and yellowy.
Could I add an ash blonde hair color (like Clairol Ultress Medium Ash Blonde #7A) to my hair, or would that ruin it? Should I use a haircolor remover before using a new color?
I hate to keep asking my stylist to fix it, since she''s tried several times to give me the shade I want. I''d like to just try and fix it myself. But...I don''t want to ruin my hair.
It doesn''t look horrible...the stylist did a good job; it just has too much RED, and I just hate to keep going back knowing we''ve tried 3 times already...
Please help!!

pick up a couple different boxes of ash blonde colors at the drugstores. do a strand test for one of them and then strand tests for the other ones....pick the one which has the results u like best.

rushTX. . . dont color yourself at home. . .try to find a good "color"-only stylist, one that just specializes in color not cutting. . . I've have the same problem for over a year now, and I've found someone (I had to stop someone in a store and ask them who did their hair because the color was beautiful, just what I have been wanting for months now) (Funny, my husband said with all the money I've been spending on my hair, HUNDREDS!!! it should look great by now) - Go for highlights/lowlights - it might take a while but try that. . .good luck
