I'm a male asian and my natural hair color is a level 1-2 and I would like to be a level 5 (lightest brown). I want it to look like a caucasian looking light brown, so with less warm tones. I don't want any warm tones basically. Would I need to bleach it first to acheive that color?

Well a few months ago I bought a box of hair dye from Wella in light brown. It said in the box that if you have dark hair or black hair the colour wont show. Since you want light brown you would definetily have to bleach it first then colour. Just bleach your hair until it is in brownish colour, then use the hair dye. You will achieved better results if you bleach your hair first before colouring it. You must remember though that bleaching dries out the hair. Why not try some other colours that dont need bleaching process, like golden blonde, golden brown, mahogany, copper. Companies like Loreal introduced its brand new Feria colours that promises to colour even the darkest shade of hair into a intense one
