I'm think of a color change and I'm interested in which products have done wonders for people and which ones to seriously avoid. A lot of people have stated that they've had good results from Natural Esssence (sp?). I saw an absolutely beautiful shade from herbal essence..Any stories on them? Thanks Cassie

I had a bad experience with Herbal Essence-- it was meant to be coppery brown, but turned my hair carrot-orange instead :-( . Natural Instincts is a good brand, though it won't change your shade significantly. I've had good experiences with Hydrience, Open (though I have no idea what shade it was I used those times, so I haven't tried it again lately *sweatdrops*), and Garnier Lumia (though that isn't meant to change your shade much, either). I don't remember what other brands I've used, really, there have been so many, but that'll be a start.

When I am not using GoldWell Profesional tints I find L'Oreal Preferance or Excellence quite true to colour especially if you use 1 shade lighter than usual as Professional tints are differant slightly as in colour to chemist /store ones if in doubt grab the phone no off the box & call the experts.
Good Luck.

Sim What is the difference between color you buy at the drug store ,and the same brand you buy at the beutey supplie store? I viseted a beuty supplie store afew days ago,and saw the same brands the drug store had,but they were packaged diferentley, and were marketed for the profesinal users. Are they more difficult to use,or require any specilized training?

I personally like Loreal preference and mostly any Clairol colouring kits.
