The boxes show really nice, bright results even on dark hair, even with their range of rich, droolworthy reds. Has anyone with dark hair tried it yet? Does it show up as well as the box illustrates? Does it stay true or fade after a week?

i used this one in light auburn or something, looks red on the box, anwyways, i have black hair and after i used it, the color is only somewhat visible under light, though when i saw myself in the mirror reflection at the stores a couple of time, it did give the color it showed on the box, RED!, who knows, maybe its because my hairs too dark, but it didnt damage nothing, hairs still in good condition, and didnt smell too bad.
let the cream n developer stay in the bottle for 5 minutes before applying, the color is still mixing in the bottle.

I just checked out the international sites for Garnier 100% color, and other countries get more choices of colors than we do!
They have the darkest black, but it's not available in the US.
www.garnier100color.com/uk/ if you want to see what they can get.

Just look! They get an extra category, Copper.
Just look at that gorgeous darkest gothic black!
Garnier is an international company, I guess the US is a test market before they release these extra colors.

I have naturally very light brown hair and used the blonde colour. It didnt turn out like the colour on the box but had a slight orange-ish tinge at the roots... not very nice...

Why are all their mouths hanging open? Do they hate the colors that much? Christ I hate the models but the colors are pretty.

I guess they were all told to look excited, so they're screaming? Except the black-haired one, who's trying to look gothic and moody. *nods* I guess the only way to know if they'll work all right on me or not is to buy one, then. Not sure which shade I'll try, but I'll try to remember to make a report on my own experience after.

these dyes are really quite good the coulour lasts for ages but the metalicy shinyness fades in about a week. the feria colour booster dyes are better but less choice..

I've not tried this product yet. I'm curious about the 210 blue black one. But I guess the blueness will fade after a while unless I maintain the color using either Aveda or Artec color enhancing shampoo. Have anyone tried it yet?

Hey Amy, I see I am not the only one who loves black hair.
I used to color using Blue Black, but now it's the darkest shade of black.
From the reviews on www.makeupalley.com, this color seems to fry your hair. Think intense dye = intense damage. It's up to you and your hair's condition.
I'd lean towards Nice n' Easy Blue Black (mixed results), they even have a money back guarantee if you don't love your color (1-800-424-CLAIROL)

Thanks for the reply. I've used N and E Blue Black before and it was kinda harsh on my hair. So I can imagine Garnier 100% would result the same thing. So I went with a demi in dark ash brown, which I'm happy at the moment. In the future, I might venture into blue black. I like to change my hair color once in a while as long as it's in brunette family. :) Cheers!

I can see where intense color is more drying. But what is most discouraging is that notation on the box "not recommended for hair that is more the xxx amount gray". Just because I have gray hair doesn''t mean I don''t want deep intense color that super shiny.
You folks are really lucky that you can still try these great looking colors. Enjoy! Meanwhile, I guess they think those of us with more gray want to stick with ho-hum colors. It''s not fair, but then life isn''t.
P.S. I did try some intense color (other brands) in the past and the gray always turns cherry-eggplant, so I get their warning. And I''m not learned enough as to what to add to prevent this. It would probably be best to see a professional for something this difficult. And even then I would probably be told the same thing :(.

i have jet black hair being asian. the only colour ive found to make a remote bit of difference is the colour booster ones. apart from the 100%colour ones can anyone recommend hair dyes that work on dark hair without the aid of bleaching? any help would be appreciated.

I love this brand!!! I have used about every color now! I love the blue black it is my current choice. This has got to be the best color ever. But it does stain hands so keep rubber gloves on when washing out.

the best thing about garnier is that the colors are not as strong an dit does not leave a bad peroxide odor on the hair
