I've either decided my hair is going strawberry blonde or black.

I'd LOVE to go Black, but I'd probably have to wait till it grows out, and i want to have very long hair.

Growing out dyed hair is awkward; and it's much more rewarding to dye a whole head of long hair at once even if it costs more I think. I don't like worrying about growing and colouring at the same time.

So is there any way I can dye my hair black that it will fade? I mean enough to bleach to stawberry blonde(my hair's sort of middle red/brown right now) without serious damage?

I'd rather do it at home. I know it mustb e possible, as once i tried to dye my hair purpel and it ame out pretty much black; it faded after a while too. Should I use the same dye ndl eave it on for an hour or so?

Thanks.

The only idea I can think of for a black that would probably fade out at least most of the way is pretty crappy, I'm afraid. It would be a suggestion to use the Manic Panic, Special Effects, etc. sorts of dyes you get at goth shops. They'll transfer over all your clothes for the first week or two, and might turn out splotchy, but unless your hair is really porous I think they'd be your best chance at washing out.

it is kinda hard to get rid of black once you do it, but never fear I know a way. If you decide after awhile you don't want black anymore, simply buy a bleaching kit. It will not hurt you hair if you do it right. Go to a store that sells hair care products, not just a box bleaching kit. Then after a day or so reapply the strawberry blond color. I have done this several times, and Yes I do still have hair! I didn't even damage it.
