Hello! My natural hair color is dark brown, and about a month ago I decided to make a major change. I had my colorist take me from dark brown with golden hightlights, to dark blonde. After a two day process and a great deal of wear and tear on my hair, I'm now a blonde. The trouble is, I don't like it.... I want to change to a light/medium auburn red shade. My question is: Is this possible to do at this stage of the game? My hair is very long, and is somewhat dry due to the double-process that I had to endure in order to become blonde. My fear is that I"ll sustain further damage if I have my colorist make this change. Would it be possible to use a demi-permanent in order to achieve this new color? That might be the healthiest way. Any and all comments and advice would be greatly appreciated.

A professional colorist would turn my hair pink? I would think that sort of thing that would happen if I did it myself, but, I never do my own coloring. I was hoping that my colorist could come up with some sort of a formula that would give me the light to medium auburn/red color that I'm looking for.
