Okay i know this is a stupid question but i had colored my hair black a few times(my hairs naturaly dark brown) and the hair color would wash out within like 1 week it must of been realy cheap.Anyways i bought some Loreal Feria hair color and it claims its permanent,so does that mean it will never wash out and it will stay this color forever or will it wash out with shampoo?thanks for any replies!!

No hair color stays "forever" cuz first of all there's obviously hair growth so even if u just bleached ur hair ur natural color will start to show at the roots. Then any hair color eventually fades, some permanent colors are longer-lasting than others, esp. depending on wht shade u go for (for example, red has the highest fade factor.) So with shampoo ur new hair color will become less intense but if u use special shampoos and conditioners ur hair will have a longer lasting vibrancy to it. However, keep in mind that ur new color (the feria) will not just shampoo out, it will stay on ur hair becuz perm. color penetrates the hair shaft even if it has completely faded, the new color will still be there. Well i hope this helped! Good luck

You might want to check with Sally Beauty Supply. They sell products that tend to take hold much more easily, and do a little less damage than what you can buy in the stores.
If you're going black, though, It unfortunately has a high fade rate. last time to went black, it worked for me because it's my natural color. However, if you're hair is considerably lighter, I would suggest going with permanent color, then refreshing every three weeks or so with a fade out, no ammonia color.
