Hello, I dyed my hair black with Loreal Preference perm.. and I feel like such a fool now. I'm highly disappointed. My natural hair color is dirty blonde to light brown. I think now I'd like to have dark brown hair.. it'd be much better than this black. Will a dark brown dye work over this new black dye that is already in it? Thanks |

No. Color can't lighten another color (mentioned by many top industry hair colorists and color specialists often). You will need to purchase a color remover. The best product that worked successfully for me in the past numerous of time is Jheri Redding's ColorFix. It's available at most Sally's. It will remove some of the black and then when it's reddish brown, then re-dye with a dark or medium brown color of your choice. Another choice is to use a bleach with 20 vol. or less for short time to remove the black pigment before re-dyeing the brown dye. Good luck. |

or at very least use semi-perm the first time round... I dyed my long brown curls Black.. I've used a semi-perm both times I've done it.. I must admit though.. I LOVE this colour and might risk using permanent simply because it'd mean having to re-dye it less often.. hope yer dilema works out...:D ------------- ...THere's TOO much blood in my Caffeine System... |
