ok, so i've been wanting to dye my hair a certain way for the longest. i don't have money for the salon, but i can do it myself. the color i want is the way Christina Aguilera used to have it, but more like how Avril Lavigne has hers now. Its brown with blond highlights, and black underneath. i am not sure how much to make black, and i can't find anyone who can give me a tip. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Wow, SheriLee, this sounds like a disaster in the making. Please remember that both Christina Aguilera and Avril Lavigne have mucho money to dish out to the best stylists in order to have those looks created. And those aren't easy colors to achieve on the same head. This is very very complicated. Why don't you save your money for awhile, and then if you still want to have this done, find the best stylist you can afford? I only say this because I'd hate to find out that you ruined your hair by attempting something this complicated at home.

its not too difficult. sure i'd have to bleach my hair on top and then add the brown and blond highlights.. but its something i have done before, thats not hard.. plus they have the color expert kits that give you both color and highlights.. i just need to know how much black to do.. a friend suggested starting right behind my ear, and doing a V type form going up from the line at my ears. I'm probably just going to do it, unless i get useful tips by friday. If it doesn't turn out right, i can always just try something else.
