I dyed my hair temporarily and the dye was supposed to come out in 6 days and it did. I then dyed my hair chesnut and it came out red. I was so upset so i redyed my hair dark brown and it came out black. I then bought a temporarily dye and it was lighter to try and take out the remaining red and lighten my hair, but my hair is now 100% black, with purpe/red at the roots, so i decided not to dye it anymore. How do i remove it or fix my hair. Also my hair isn't to damaged and I wanted to go to a professional is that a good thing to do? Are there any at home remedies that will help a little??

I'm not surprised this didn't work. Dye won't lighten dye. Once you've dyed your hair, the only way to go lighter is to use a colour remover (i.e. ColorFix) or bleach it and then dye it to your desired colour. I think your best bet at this point is to go to a pro who specializes in colour correction.
Good luck.
P.S. You can buy ColorFix at Sally's and use it at home. It should remove most of the dye, but you may have to bleach afterwards to remove any stubborn colour deposits and even out the tone. If you can afford to go to a pro, though, please do. Double processing at home can be tricky if you've never done it before.
One more thing -- I've had a number of hair colour disasters, myself. I learned the hard way that it's really important to always do test strands before putting any colour on your hair. It takes a bit more time, but it's definitely worth it.
