Hello Gauri.
Buy 6 tubes of watercolour paint (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet) and practice mixing colours. You'll need to experiment and become familiar with colour theory before you can be a successful hair colourist.
The following website should be helpful to you as well: http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/4266/color.html - http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/4266/color.html
Good luck.

It's great, isn't it? I've learned SO much from studying that site. It helped me do the autopsy on all my former hair colour disasters, so now I know what DOESN'T work. It was also a good starting point for finding out what DOES work. After I accidentally coloured my hair apricot, I just started reading all the hair colour info I could find. This stuff is really interesting. It's my new obsession.
