I was considering changing my hair color dramatically by dying it blue. I was wondering if anyone knows of over the counter blue permanent hair color. I looked in a few stores but could not find any. Is getting it done in a salon my only option?

You can start with Manic Panic to make sure you really want it permanent (they say it washes out in 2 weeks or so on undyed hair, and you can get all sorts of funky colors). They say also that the gel lasts longer than the cream. They sell a shampoo to help prevent it from fading. I used it once on my bleached white hair, but I used turquiose so when it started washing out it became green so I just cut it off and didn't wait to see how long it took or if it would wash out. (I had only done my last inch so I didn't care).
