I've been dyeing my hair with black semipermanent color for a few months now. It is starting to fade now, but I can only notice it if i look at it under a bright light. I want to dye my hair with clairol rosewood dark auburn brown but I'm not sure if I can do brown over black. Should I wait for it to fade a little more or bleach it ? I have very pretty() blue eyes which I want to accentuate and light skin. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanx

Ok, theirs a rule that you should know about hair color. Color over color makes it makes it darker...Trust me-I made this same mistake several times in cosmetology class...It doesnt matter if you put a lighter shade over a darker shade, it will not lift, It will probably make it the same color as before...possibly darker-so you probably wont achieve your goal. I can suggest that you add some highlights, which will break up the darkness, then color over your highlights with your new color...or you could just bleach your whole head and put the color over it. hope i helped.

I'd use Color Fix color remover first and then retint
