I had my hair bleached to lift me up about 4 levels and dyed a caramel color. The roots started growing out so I redyed it a PERMANANT(i know!)level 4 on the top layer only, and its entirely too dark.I look like tony the tiger with my hair down. Now, if I were to rebleach it again, my hair would probably fall out, huh? does anybody know if colorfix would take it out? It wont fry my hair, will it? and what effect would bleach have given whats already in my hair. Another option I have it to color the remaining caramel this color or maybe even a level lighter and add some thin highlights throughout to break it up a bit. what do ya think? and for the record--yes, a pro will be doing this for me.

Colorfix will definitely be better on your hair than bleach will. It will make your hair feel dry, just deep condition for a few days and that will get better tho. The only thing is, if you used Feria, I don't think the colorfix will get that out. It would probably have to be bleached out.

First, hair doesn't fall out from processing, it breaks off- but thats only if its extremely damaged.
Ok if a salon is doing your hair, most don't know about Color Fix and they don't use it. Infact many use Effesol or Uncolor- bad deal, those are damaging.
If its just the top layer you might get highlights instead, they bleach processed color- tone on tone color.
If you were doing it yourself I'd get Color Fix and then depending on what level your hair is and what level carmel color, you might have to bleach, or you may be able to retint.

So do you think that I could take that small section from the top of my head and bleach it out(my hair is not all that damaged) and put color over it...Do you think it would process past orange so that I could get it back to my caramel color(which was probably about a level 7 if I recall)

The best way to find out is to do a test strand.

Yep I agree with Alyssa, strand test a strand of hair with Color Fix and see how light it goes, you might have to do two applications. If the ending results come out red or orange or even both your going to have to bleach one stage to gold and you can recolor.
If it comes out gold after CF then just recolor.
