Hey elliejay! I just saw some of your postings as well as your picture and i just love your hair! I'm also coloring my hair black so I was wondering how do you keep it up.I'm naturally a dark blonde and so far I've used natural instincts cause I thought it would be less damaging than to use a permanent and also would be easier to remove if I decided to do that some day, but i have no idea if that's true..Is it? I've been dyeing it for about 5 months now,but I do the whole hair, not just roots. Now I want to go permanent cause some of the people told me that it's bad for hair to just keep adding more and more color to it.Finnally I want to color it with a permanent in a day or two but I'm kinda scared because of those 5 boxes that are in my hair(well some of it must have had washed off, but still..) and I don't want to go bald..I want it as black as possible Any suggestions? What brand do you reccomend? Thanx! [

hi atomic blue. obviously i'm not elliejay, but my 2 cents, ..... I also dye my hair darker than it is naturally and i love natural instincts. So I assume you are looking for something you can get relatively inexpensive and at the drugstore. I would recommend nutrisse. i am not a pro in the sense of a license, But i dye my hair myself and nutrisse has never let me down. it is about 7 bucks, and the shades are gorgeous. and when it does start to fade, even after a while. it retains some very nice tones. so you might be left with a slightly lighter shade after a few weeks, but it never got brassy or flat for me. i haven't gone black. but I have done the dark brown, and it is now all I use. justmy 2 cents....good luck !

Thanx for the advice! I already used colorsilk and I loved it! It says that it contains no ammonia so I hope I won't go bald:) Maybe I'll try nutrisse in the future..
