hello,

i have had my hair highlighted for over 20 years now... my real hair color (as much as i can recall) was a light brown/dark blonde.

my hair is heavily hilighted, it looks very blonde and i am thinking of trying to do the touchup myself since i am dissatisfied with the way that it was recently done.

sorry to ramble, but my question is this:

how do you go about doing the touchup on the roots without overlapping and ending up with some light horizontal stripe? i have noticed that my hairdresser sometimes pulls the color all the way to the ends on every couple of foils... is this how it works?

i decided not to use one of the kits since they usually do not lighten enough. i bought 30-weight developer and loreal bleach.

i have not been able to find much info on this on the internet... does anyone know if there is such a site?

thanks in advance for any assistance that you can provide.
