Have always highlighted my dishwater blonde hair. My natural haircolor is now pretty dark and I have started coloring my hair red, prefer true reds, not orange tones, nor burgundys. I would like to add drama to the hair, especially in the crown, around the face.
Currently have an allover color, garnia, bright auburn blonde.
I am pretty fair skinned, pink undertones, no freckles, gray-green eyes.
Any ideas?

I think your best bet is to go to your local beauty supply store and find a red that says it has a true red base (not red-orange or red-violet). Box dyes never say what the base color is. I think the professional line of L'Oreal Preference has a Mega-Red or Power-Red (I forget) sub-line.
If you just want to refresh red hair, try a veggie dye like Special Effects or Manic Panic, and only leave it on for ten minutes or so (or mix it with your conditioner).
