Ok... I have long, curly hair and I colored it dark brown in November. My roots grew in (light brown) about 1.5 inches or so. I decided I wanted to go light red (specifically Feria Copper Shimmer), and I asked a girl at Sally Beauty if I could, and she said I'd have to bleach my hair first. On Friday, I used Feria Extra blond bleach... my roots turned out bright yellow and the rest neon orange. Then Saturday, I used Feria Copper Shimmer, and my roots are NEON orange, and the rest of my hair is pretty close. I am freaking out, 'cause I have to go back to work tomorrow, and I cannot have neon hair!! :( I have to do something with it tonight, but I'm not sure what.. I thought maybe use a darker red shade, since it will probably turn out lighter red anyway? If anyone can help me out, please do!! I can't even go out like this.. I'll have to send my hubby out to buy the color!! Thanks!

ok, well i dont think bleaching it was the best thing. but what is done is done. what i need to know, is what condition is your hair in. im thinking that be bleach might have dried out your hair a little, and it might not be ready to take another coloring. if you absolutely have to fix it tonight, cover your head with a hat, and trudge dwon to the sally beauty that you mentioned. show them your hair, and ask them about doing a soap cap. this involves mixing the color gel with shampoo instead of developer. the girl there should be able to pick out a shade that will tone down the orangieness. and shell be able to tell you the exact proportions to use. hope that helped!!!

I hope this isn't too late to help, but put a semi-permanent color over
it to tone it down. Maybe a nice brown...if it's really really
orange, then use an ash brown (blue base). Even a neutral brown
should take you to auburn. Or a dark auburn would probably be
more reddish because you're starting from orange.
Semi-permanent colors you can get from Sally's are Clairol Colorgloss,
Clairol Complements, and Wella Colorcharm (be aware that the last two
use the same name for both their semi and permanent lines). I've
used Colorgloss a lot myself and like it. Just mix one part
Colorgloss with one part Clairol Radiance developer (yeah, I think the
name of the dye is actually Radiance, not Colorgloss, but that's what
everyone calls it).
Good luck!
