I finally got my great lengths, and they seem fine-- not too tight or heavy or anything like that. However, I've never had hair past my shoulders, and since now it's down my back, I've come to realize that I have NO IDEA how to dry long hair, nevermind long hair extensions. My effort left the ends frizzy-looking and not nearly as smooth and sleek as when they were put in. Can anyone give me some pointers? It may have something to do with the fact that they wave/curl naturally when wet....

Here is what I found that works (and perhaps someone who had more experience with extensions can give more feedback):
--when you first have your extensions in (first 2 weeks) be as gentle as possible, which means no tugging or pulling. I just let me air dry, which worked well because my own hair is wavy.
--never ever shampoo, brush, blowdry upside down, because it is extra pressure and possible damage.
--Use a leave-in conditioner on the ends and some heat protectant product
--Do it in sections, starting from the bottom. Clip the rest of the hair and start drying your hair slowly. I just hold the bonded part with my hand as to not to pull on it. Gentle is the key word here. If I want a smooth sleek look, I just use hair iron.
Enjoy them! How many strands did you end up using? Oh, I find that taking vitamins is a good idea at any time to boost the hair strength, but even more so when you have extensions. If at any time you need any other advice, you can email me at leninida@yahoo.com . I love sharing information and hearing of other people's experiences.
