Hi. I live in Los Angeles and I am really interested in getting extensions. I know i want human hair and that i dont want anything that i will have a really hard time caring for or anything that will damage my hair AT ALL. my hair is highlighted so i would need to have whatever i choose handmade so which is better. hairloc or getting the wefts sewn in to the track. which is easier to care for? which is cheaper? which does less damage? anything you can help with (including good salons in LA- hollywood, burbank, bev hills, etc) please email me at rockswife12@aol.com.
THANKS SO MUCH

I can tell you the very best place to go to Lucky for you its in your area too. Look up imagebykimarie.com to get the info. She does hairlocs and is the BEST! I fly down to LA from Seattle to get them from herShe babies my hair which is naturally fine. My experience is wefts feel heavy and hot and pul on your hair. Great lengths ruins your hair when they take them out with pure alcohol. I could go on and on!! Look up her site for all the info

Kimarie is far from "the best"--only if you want to pay thousands of dollars for extensions that tangle constantly, fall out at every turn, and damage and stain your real hair. DOn't get GLs or any other bonded method, either; you'll pay the price in damage to your hair, believe me. Better to get sewn-in wefts or pinchbraids. There's a post "Extensions Experiences" that explains all the processes thoughly (without any selling). Good luck

Where is the "Extensions Experiences"? I am in Orange County and have a braid with a row of extensions sewn in. I am happy with them, but I am afraid that it might hurt my fine hair in the long run.

Hey rockswife12,

I do hair extensions in Huntington Beach. It would be a little bit of a drive for you but well worth it. I've been using microlinks which I have come to love. There's no heat, no glue and they are super easy to take out. My prices are the best around too. My standard rate for a full head of 18" hair is $500. I can send you some before and after photos if you're interested. e-mail me at kbreul@socal.rr.com

Have a great day,
Kristin

Kristin,

I have long silky hair, and I wanted to add some highlights or little braids without damaging my hair. Would microrings stay in for a month?

Hey Katherine,
Yes, microlinks should be able to stay in for at least a month and usually do for 2-3 months. If any come out they are easy to save and re-use also which helps with the cost of hair. I hope that helps, let me know if you have anymore questions
