Hi Kristin,

What kind of extensions are those in the pic? And one of those girls in the pictures is a client of one of my very good friends, did you copy and paste from her website and claim it as yours?
Thats not very cool, its a bad credability on your end.

Both of the clients in my picture are mine... The top picture is my sister and the bottom is my one of my best friends. I do individual extensions with 100% Remi hair using a Keratin bond

Hi! I don't know if this will help or not, but I have GL extensions put in about 2 months ago (Jul 23). I love them, but being in Nashville, TN, this was about the best option I could find close to home.

I had to search the net for price ranges, and actually "interviewed" 3 different extensionists before having them in. I ended up going with the middle pricing - $1150 was what I paid, and this included the tip. The extensionist (if it is GL) should have a "head" that they kept from their training. Only one of the extensionists that I interviewed did (the other two said that they had them, but couldn't find them), and coincidentally, he is the one that I went with. He also did the extensions of another stylist in his company (she was in the booth right next to his) and I got to feel them and ask her questions about them. She had them in about 7 months too, and had no problems.

Make sure that you are able to easily contact your extensionist so that if there is a problem or you have questions, you can always reach them. I have the work and cell phone of mine, and I actually had to call him yesterday about something!

I don't know what extensions are good for what hair type, but mine still feel really good. My own hair was worse off then the extensions, and actually has been looking better since I had the ext. put in. I also color my hair (blonde) every month (due to brassiness), and when i got the ext. put in, my hair was all one length, similar to the best friend in CaliforniaKristin's pics. I had been growing out bangs, so the front was shorter and choppier than the back, but overall, the extensions look great. I have only had 3 fall out in 2 months.

You can email me if you have anymore questions. Make sure that you go to an extensionist that puts no pressure on you to get them. Forced buying is not what it is about. I picked a stylist who I feel comfortable around, and as a result, am happier with the results.

Abby, Time to do some reading honey. Look on the other pages of this forum and you will find lot's and lot's of info. Once you have narrowed down your choice on what kind of method either if being clip-on, shrinkies, hair locs, braiding, weaving or whatever then we can lead you in the right direction. You have to give us a little more info. about yourself too such as how long your hair is, what kind of hair you have, how long you want it to be, do you want your hair with glued in extensions, etc...

Ditto everything Kim said.

There are two threads at the top of this board--Extensions 101 Links for Beginners, and the Bridget thread--I strongly suggest you read those and continue to do a lot of research and ask a lot of questions before you proceed with anything.

Extensions can be wonderful or horrible, reasonably priced or a fortune, nondamaging or a nightmare, so it's not anything you should rush into. Take your time, and read, read, read....

As for Nelly6, how interesting that your siggy on this post: http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB%5FAP536834875&id=463 - http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB%5FAP536834875&id=463 is exactly the same as Cait's (that's Cait/Sand/Satisfied Customer Extraordinaire of Hairlocs, by the way). Is this what you're doing now--coming back just to dis respected members like Kristin. Of course, if it is one of your (oh, I'm sorry--your friend's) clients, perhaps she turned to Kristin for help after your system trashed her hair and left her broke!

Oh, and here you are, peddling hairlocs again: http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB%5FAP934431446&id=587 - http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB%5FAP934431446&id=587

Any questions?
:)

Kristin is a longtime, respected member of this board, who contributes help, insight, and tutorials all the time. Yes, she's a stylist--as many of our members are--but her contributions go way beyond the blatant, shameless advertising you do, Tia. :)

TiaMarie, First Id like to point out that this was an old thread, those posts were made months ago when this board used to be nothing but advertising and spam. Second there was no real advertising in those posts. Someone had asked several times for help, someone finally answered, there was no advertising there.

Woah.

I don't know what's worse - The bad typing, or
the creeping, bouncy bad attitude.

Tia - If you're going to post here, attempt to
advertise, or just try to cause trouble in general,
at least make a pretense of writing legibly.

I really don't mind reading what you say - It's just
darn hard to, when it's just one big run-on sentence.

Thanks for the consideration.

(And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to flame,
I'm just trying to make it easier for others to read
your arguments/suggestions/comments - Thanks
again)

You're not joking, I'm surprised you ant scatched your own flipping eyes out you're that vicious, get off the board please, you're lowering the tone again and please do not reply to this cos I won't bite back, you're ridiculous, you are why today's society is as it is with crime, drugs and so forth!

As for your comment about Kristen's advertising. She can advertise all she likes for me because firstly when I was starting out with extensions she was super helpful to me, she even let me download some of her pictures so I could give ideas of colours etc to my clients so that is what I call unconditional help not like you, its GL's rock or bad attitude!

The problem isn't that you can't type, Tia; it's that you can't think. How many people have to dis you for you to get the point?
