Hey everyone!! I am currently looking into getting extensions. Last year i got some and got the glued in method, and I definately dont want to do that again!! I was looking into getting it sewed in because I have heard of all these awful things about other stuff that that rips out your hair, and i already have really think hair and cant afford to lose any! I bought Microlinks last year, but they were a pain in the but too use...me and my mom tried, and they kind of hurt my head.... So the only other things i could think of would be the fusion...but i guess id need to get pretipped or do it myself and then buy the thing. Most places in Orlando only do glue in or the track method. I figured I'd try to the track method/sewing it in...so i can mke sure i really like it before i spend TONS of money getting fusion or something. Anyone have any ideas for me?? I have natural long blonde hair and i got long 16" blonde hair to put in a long with a dark auburn.. Any ideas! Thanks!

Welcome!
Have you looked around the site? There's a ton of information about various methods. Trial and error is the best way to find out what is best for you. But there are so many different techniques out there. I mean take your pick
Fusion - Glue Fusion - Keratin Microlinks (hairloc, eurolocs, extentube, etc.) Pinch Weave - (a sew-in weave with no cornrows) Pinch Braids Micro Illusion Sew Ins Bond in - Glue Bond in - Liquid Gold Glue Shrinkies Hair Integration pieces Microbraids Hair Falls Lace Front Wigs Clip ins.
And the other ton of methods that I missed.
Good luck.

Okay, that hair you purchased is NOT the best quality hair. It will last you all of two, maybe three days before it turns into a matted, tangled mess.
I recommend that type of hair if someone wants a very temporary weeklong hair do. For hair that is going to be sewn and and worn for weeks at a time you want a virgin remi hair with all the cuticles facing in one direction.
You will need about 6 oz to a full weave and virgin hair runs between $35-60 an oz.
Check out this website to get an explanation on what cuticle hair really is:

You can't buy virgin remi hair at Beauty Supply Store you usually have to order it. And the prices of it has gone up in the last few weeks due to the dollar drop.

Okay, You'll be fine with one pack of hair which is usually around 4 oz's
Shrinkies is similar to the hairlocs, but instead of a metal link, the link is plastic and then you have to heat it up and it shrinks to fit your bond.
Read some of amm's posts, she's really knowledgable about shrinkies. You can also see the demo of how they're done at dr.locks.
They're very easy do, you put the shrinkie on the hair, stick the bonded tip in it, heat it up, twist it and voila. so your mom should have no problems.

Hey girlie, since you've been around the block, like me, call my Extensionist for good ideas and good pricing (especially since you have your hair!) Easter Carrillo 323-356-5856. Does Hairlocs. gives instruction. If you got the hair, she'll probably charge you $150.00 and she doesn't accept tips. Get her before she goes to Brasil in 2 weeks!
Merry Christmas!
