when you put in strand by strand extensions, what is the ratio of your own hair versus extension hair in each extension strand? I currently have pinchbraids and am thinking of trying shrinkies. My own hair is kind of thin (thanks to thinning of unknown reasons) and I like to thicken it up quite a bit. Thanks a lot!

I wouldn't know how to describe it in terms of mm's or anything, but I think this is a good example of how much hair you could use with a single strand: http://www.drlocks.net/microring_demo.htm - http://www.drlocks.net/microring_demo.htm
That ring looks like a small-size one to me, and you could use larger sections of hair with larger strands. I wouldn't make the sections much smaller than they show in the demo, though.
Maybe someone else can chime in here....
