okay i got my hair done today. added about 90 strands of light blonde superssynthetic hair!!!
it looks awesome now but im a little worried about what it will look like when it's not proffessionally styled..(like tomorrow) but the good thing is if they start looking like crap i can always have a friend take them out cos it's pretty easy.
it doesn't look natural at all....even tho the hair quality is close to human hair the color doesnt match 100% cos my bleached highlights are more icy than the hair thats more yellow. hmmmm.
and you can kind of see the microrings a little but i don't think it matters cos everyone will know it's fake anyway so why be in denial about that.
i feel like a pornstar.
hahahah

Kaela, if you want to blend your natural hair color with the extensions you can always buy the Clairol shampoo at Sallys that will add the gold tones to your hair. I use the Clairol Shimmering Lights to tone out the gold and they have the other one to add the gold Im not sure but it might be called Clairol Goldenlights? Also you can buy Fanci-full color styling mousse (in many colors) that will add a golden tone to your hair. And the nice thing is that both of those products just wash out, in case you decide to take the extensions out your own hair color wont be altered!

Those are great suggestions, Sherrie.

By the way, Sher, have you ever used Born Blonde toner? Just curious.

That is good. Extensions are enough to contend with, without having to tweak the color constantly. :)

thanks about the shampoo tip!!! I'm gonna look for that! today will be the firs time i was my hair with the microrings in...ehhh im worried!!! :)

the hair i used was called supersynthetic hair and has a better quality than kanekalon (more real looking and a little more shiny and can stand heat up to C150)

today i am also gonna ask my salon if they have time to cut some length off the extentions today...cos it's extremely long now and then it looks really fake. if i get it cut just like an inch longer than my natural hair (which is long) it will look much better.

Kaela, the 'fakeness' may go away after a few washes. Synthetic or human usually has a shiny look before it gets washed. It seems like I have heard of the supersynthetic. Do you know where it was purchased from? Im supercurious!

I got it from http://www.happyhair.se/ - http://www.happyhair.se/
it's a swedish company....(im in sweden)
they ship in like 2 days which is nice.

I got rid of the pornstar look today....(it was way too long and looked increadibly fake) so now it is cut the same length as my regular hair...so its not really like extra long anymore...but it looks fantastic. its like twise as thick as before. i'll show pics i just have to feel a little better first cos i have the flu...

That's a cool site. It looks like their Kanekelon is pretipped (if so, how convenient!).

Can't wait to see your pics! :)

Hi Kaela, I was just wondering if you could post an update when you get the chance on how it was going with your micro rings..i just had a few questions. I read on a website before this one that a lot of people complained of them being cold and unpleasant to sleep in and then after researching this site i read about how y'all recommend the extendtubes off hairpiece.com...so if you could list any pros/cons of them that would be great! Thnx so much!

Kaela,
is that the right spelling of your name? My daughters name is spelt the same way and I have never seen it any where else.

ooooh yeah all their hair is pretipped. its great. im so addicted to their site now. (and I wish you could read it too) :(

well...as for the pros and cons I have only had them for a couple of days now so there might be more cons if they start slipping out and give me trouble later. right now im happy with them
what I can think of now is that the microrings makes it harder to brush the hair...but I guess that goes for all extentions...
plus I think if you have thin hair they could be pretty easy to spot.
they are really not that uncomfortable to sleep on...and I have 100 put it in 4 different rows. but they don't bother me.
I think they the big pros are that they are a cheap and easy way to get longer or thicker hair. (since they are easy to put in at home)
if you have any more questions, just ask!

as for my name...my real name is Mikaela but people call me Kaela for short and I always liked it. so I think your daughter has a really cute name :D
