I am looking for real looking and feeling caucasian extensions that do not tangle and are not dry like the european extensions I have had in the past. I want 30 inches long and wavy dark. To resemble sarah brightman's hair (what my natural hair used to look like before I cut it off) Like the picture below  I found a site for remi cuticle virigin hair that has dark wavy hair. does it look legit? I've heard of that seller before, but I can't remember if the feedback was good or bad.... Have you googled it? The Black Women's Media Forum is also a good place to check on sellers. That photo is so gorgeous, by the way--the hair is amazing! 30-inch isn't the easiest to find. Hisandher.com has it; their best hair is their Cuticle Hair, but it's pricey and I've only tried the straight. Well, problem is, that hair's only available up to 22". If you want 30", that's not going to do it. The straight's available in up to 28", but you obviously don't want straight.... Again 30" good quality in human hair is really hard to find. You might want to try hairaddition.com too; they tend to have some longer lengths there, but I can't vouch for the quality. If you'd consider synth (which might work quite well for clip-ins, by the way), I'd recommend PlastikHaar, which comes up to 48" and will make wefts of whatever colors or blends you want. Actually, I don't. I think the 22" would be long, but to re-create the look in the picture I'd think you'd need at least 26". It depends, though, on how tall you are and how long your torso is. It may sound weird, but I'm pretty tall (5'8") with a long torso, so the 24", for example, is fairly long on me, but on shorter women it goes down to their waist! For me, it definitely doesn't. Again, I've been very pleased with the HisAndHer cuticle hair in the past, but I only ordered straight--not wavy. Based on the picture, I'd think it would work, but I'm hesitant to say for certain because I haven't tried that specific hair firsthand. That said, I think it might be a good option, though. Failing that, you might also want to check out these threads from AMM. My feeling is that either of these brands would be good. But again, I'm not an expert on wavy or on clip-ons. I would think you'd want the machine-tied weft so you could cut it the way you want it. Again, I wish I could be of more help, but I'm a little out of my depth here. If you want info. on wavy textures, I would suggest posting specifically to AMM; and if you want info. on clip-ons, I would recommend posting to MetalGirl. LOL, I would say yes but you know Im partial to synth...Its been my experience that the waves stay in longer with synth. It is plastic after all and the curl, wave, etc..is actually melted into the synth by dipping in very hot water then into cold to set it. With human hair waves and curls seem to gradually come out after many washings. And synth is lighter than human hair. That's pretty. How long does synth usually last for you before the ends get frazzled? Do you blow it or or steam it at that point? The synth I have in now Ive had in exactly a week today and the ends have just started to get frizzy. Not bad, maybe about 1/2 inch on the bottom. Last night I sprayed them with some braid sheen spray and blow dried them on high/hot (since this is the new fiber synth and can take the heat) otherwise I would use high/warm. ------------- SHE human hair blend, 18", #4 with Supertape. |

thank you for your advice! you guys are so helpful! I am actually just 5 feet tall. I have a very short torso. I just put a tape measure at 22 inches up against me and it comes down just about to my lower back and waist. The look I am looking for is like a mermaid's hair if you will. I wanted real hair so I can style it with irons for versatility once in a while. The reason I wanted clip-ins was because I have had bad experiences with glue. Its so messy and doesn't completely get out of my hair for a couple of weeks. Are the french refined you just showed me virgin hair? or has it been processed? I want to get unprocessed hair. ------------- |

Merguthrie: I attached them with micro rings, its all I had on hand at the time. I dont know what their total life is, this is the first time Ive used this new fiber synth. Sherrie: there could be other factors involved in why their getting frizzy. Im bad about not putting my hair in a pony when Im cooking and in my puter room I have a space heater that sits behind me, I think that may be contributing to the frizziness a bit. OK, good. The 22" length will probably work for you then. All of these brands (glamourhair, hisandher, etc.) are processed to some extent. In fact, I've never come across any hair I would remotely describe as virgin (non-processed), so I don't even know how you'd get your hands on it. Also, if it really was virgin hair, I don't think it would have the texture you're looking for. Asian hair is totally straight when it's unprocessed, and Indian hair isn't totally straight, but isn't as wavy as you want it; imo, "true Caucasian hair" does not really exist, especially in the length and texture you want. If you could find real Caucasian hair, it would cost a fortune--and who's to say the quality would be any better? It could be "virgin" but double-drawn, with its cuticles facing both ways, and you'd be better off with processed hair, believe me. Generally, with extensions hair, all roads lead back to Asia--no matter whether the hair is described as "European" or not. "Brazilian," "European," "Russian," "French," "Spanish," "Remy," and so forth are terms that hair sellers throw around quite liberally to describe the "look" of their hair. That said, there are online sellers who claim to sell virgin hair (Nature Girl, Malaika's, Luxxe Hair, Hawaiian Hair Extensions, and a few others), but I've heard mixed reviews. If you really feel strongly about getting virgin hair, I would write to the companies who claim to sell it and request samples before you spend your money. It's a big investment, so do your research, and be cautious. Again, imo, the glamourhair or hisandher would be good options for you, but if you're determined to get virgin hair, good luck.
