It really depends on what method you're looking for, but I would recommend Isaac at Cyberparlor: http://cyberparlor.com - http://cyberparlor.com
Good luck! :)

i think dollylocks is overpriced and you can get similar work from other people. jenny recommends isaac she has used him a lot.
i used dollylocks and didn't like my experience though her b4 and after pics are nice, she never did use my pics as one (wonder why lol). i do have to say the braids were nice and tight though. i didn't think her hair was good quality.

No....Isaac doesn't do hairlocs at all. He primarily does pinchbraids, and I've only had great experiences with him. His prices are very reasonable, too. I went to him after some terrible experiences with Hairlocs, GLs, and Cinderella, and he's the only extensionist I've been happy with. His salon, Cyberparlor, is downtown, near the seaport.
What are you looking for exactly, and what problems did you have with your hairlocs?
:)

loxinneed Im so sorry to hear of your bad experience. You are not alone, it seems alot of people have went through this same experience with hairlocs and Kimarie. It is a shame and something needs to been done to stop it.
Youve came to a great place to find answers, information and lots of support. Welcome!

Well, LOX,
You could get extensions from virtually anyone for less than Kimarie charges, so there are probably lots of options for you. I've had great experiences with Isaac, but which method is best for you really depends on what your hair's like now and what you would like it to look like.
Also, you mentioned having a condition that causes your hair not to grow as it should. Although some methods can be helpful for people with hair-growth and hairloss issues, depending on how much hair you actually have, extensions may or may not be the best choice. For people with significant or advanced hairloss, extensions are not the best idea, imo--toppers/integration pieces are better options.
What I'd recommend doing is reading these threads for a basic overview of different methods and links: http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB_AP934431446&id=2633 - http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB_AP934431446&id=2633 http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB_AP934431446&id=2549 - http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB_AP934431446&id=2549
It would also be helpful if you could post a pic (if not of yourself than an Internet photo that looks like your current hair), as well as a photo of what you'd like it to look like. Here are some galleries for inspiration: Kristin's HairCandy: http://www.haircandy.net/ - http://www.haircandy.net/ BoogieMama: http://www.boogiemama.com/album/index.php - http://www.boogiemama.com/album/index.php Hairpolice: http://dreadperm.com/gallery/index.php?cat=0 - http://dreadperm.com/gallery/index.php?cat=0 Mark Glenn: http://www.markglenn.com/gallery.htm - http://www.markglenn.com/gallery.htm AngelEmma: http://www.angelemma.com/photos/ - http://www.angelemma.com/photos/ Snarl Hair: http://snarlhair.com/ - http://snarlhair.com/
Anyway, if you post some pics or links, I'm sure we can come up with some recommendations. In addition, any information you can add about your real hair type (fine/coarse, thin/thick, straight/wavy/curly, color-treated, damaged, healthy, highlighted, etc.) would be helpful, because what works on each person is different and highly dependent on the various qualities of their real hair.
Good luck! :)
