Yes, you can wash your hair with extendtubes in--just keep any conditioners away from the actual tubes.
Generally, you can keep them in the hair for up to three months, then you'll need to redo them (because they will have grown out). You may experience some slipping during that time (a few a week would be normal, imo, anymore than 4 a week is too much). Either way, you can just reinstall any that slip as needed.
To apply the extendtubes, you should use a flat, smooth pair of needle-nose pliers, but to remove them you should use the kind with ridges or the removal tool sold on websites, such as hisandher.com.
Good luck! :)

It shouldn't, but there is some level of risk with every method.
The best way to figure out how they'll perform in your head is to install some test strands--8 or so in various parts of your head. Leave them in for a few weeks, then try to take them out and see what happens.
Generally, I do think the extendtube method is pretty safe--but it's important that you attach the strands to enough of your own hair to support the weight and far away enough from your scalp so there's not too much tension. It's also important that you remove them carefully, and monitor your scalp while you're wearing them, so you can be alterted as the first signs of danger.
Again, the best thing to do is to perform the strand tests.
Good luck! :)
