OK well, today I finally got my order (which Im not complaining about the time, I know standered international delivery takes forever, and in all honesty I expected it to be another week or so...)
I love synth hair. been using it for ages, and this is my first plastikhaaqr order, so I was excited. I ordered platinum blonde 50mm wave, lilac 50mm wave, and vanilla 50mm wave.
well the hair quality itself looks wonderful, the lilac color is beautiful, the wave is lovely, but, well Im kinda bummed about something.
now I KNOW colors on moniters arnt true, so although the platinum looks darker in person, thats ok, thats not what Im bummed about. what Im bummed about, is the vanilla, and the platinum, look identical. when I opened the box I thought there was a mixup because it looks EXACTLY alike.
here is the platinum
and here is the vanilla

now, no matter what monitor setting you have, these look like 2 diffrent colors to me.
I know its my fault, I didnt order a color ring, but Im just a little bit bummed because I wanted lighter and darker streaks in my hair, and now it'll be a flat color.
(edited because pics are a P.I.T.A)

Those definetely look like 2 different colors. Contact Plastikhair and see what they say about it. Nobody is perfect and maybe it was a shipping error.

Can you post a photo of the three colors you received so we can all see the difference?
Also, did you give Sara first chance to rectify this before posting to the board?

no, because Im not going to send a complaint or anything. I dont have a color ring, so I feel like I cant really complain about the colors. Im just honestly suprised how alike they realy are.
I apologize for the blurriness

It really is the exact same color :(

Kalika,
I had the exact same thing: I ordered the Platinum and the Satin, and they look exactly the same. Honestly, I can't tell them apart. I also have a bag of Weiss, so when I mix it all up, I think it's going to work for me, but both of the blondes I ordered look exactly the same as the ones you posted. I wonder if Sara switched suppliers or something?

well the satin looks closer to the platinum then the vanilla, thats why when she said she was out of satin (which was what I ordered in the first place) I got platinum instead, because the colors were so similer. Im just dissipointed that the valilla looks the same as well, when it looks so diffrent in the photos.

They certainly do look the same. Bummer. I was surprised when I got my samples and compared them to the colors on the site. So not even close. I have access to 7 computers and none of them matched the examples on the site. Is it possible they're all labeled incorrectly? I'm serious because one that looked gold and was labeled as gold was actually orange.
Great looking synth but I learned as well that a color ring is an absolute must with plastikhaar.
When you order, are they always bulk or are there wefts?

Could someone post a direct link to the hair on Plastikhaar's website? When I go there all I get are the flowers and clips, I cant find the extension hair or the color chart.

I noticed a lot of people having problems with bulk. bulk is cheaper then the wefts(I dunno bout this site, but in genral). if you use it to tip, simply wrap a rubberband around where you want to cut it, and cut right below that. keeps the hair from getting in a mess.

I finally got it! I recieved my plastikhaar today. The hair is beautiful, the 28 mm curl is a little looser than I would like though, I guess maybe I need the 22 mm... and all my lighter blonde colors are exactly the same too and not one of my bags is labeled.... I dont know what color is what!

I'm glad you like the hair; I like it too and can't wait to try it.
I really think that Sara may have switched suppliers or something, since there would be no reason to categorize Satin, Platinum, and Vanilla as different colors if they're all the same.
How many different colors did you get, Sher? I imagine the Champagne shade is darker, no? :)

I got six bundles 3 lighter blondes that all look the same. She actually substituted 2 vanille for the siebenblonde and satin blonde since she was out of stock. I assume they look exactly like the vanille. I got platin blonde which also looks the same. Then the darker colors and I have no idea which is which, are champagne, hafer and naturblond. None are labeled but one of them actually has alot of copperish red tones. I think it may look like one of the colors that amm posted but I will have to find that post again. But I am pleased with the look of the hair. It looks great and I was amazed how much hair was in those tiny packages!

Kalika, are you sure they're exactly the same color? I have a color ring here, and they're definitely different shades. The vanilla is a little more yellow- quite like 613- and the Platinum is slightly ashy, more pale. Look at it in really bright light, and I think you'll see it.
Oh, and Sherrie- she did recently switch packaging, from bags that had integrated labels to bags with stapled-on labels. Maybe she forgot to label them when she packed your hair for shipping?

Mine had labels for Platinum and Satin, and seriously, the colors are exactly the same. I've inspected them to death, and there really is no difference at all.:)

Really? I'm just going off the color ring here, not a big chunk of the hair, but Satin looks noticeably lighter to me.
I've heard other people say similar things about some of the blues, so perhaps it's a case of Sara being able to visually distinguish colors better than the rest of the world. Dunno.

maybe one batch was dyed dffrently then another? I mean, I know when you have so many colors, some are bound to look similer. I was just saying I was suprised how similer those two colors were, because they looked so diffrent on the site. I honestly cannot tell them apart.
Im going to get a color ring. the hair itself is wonderful quality.

I agree that the hair itself is beautiful. I am surprised that it looks so..... human! And I was concerned about it being shiney but its not, it has no more shine than healthy human hair. It looks awesome!

Rae,
I am trying to figure out what colours to order, my hair is #30 - medium auburn and I'd like copper mixed in.
Can you check yer colour ring for me please? So far bronze looks feasible.
Thanks, Rose

Hi Rose. For a #30 color I'd go for either Caramel Blond, Walnuss, or Kupfer. To me #30 is kinda orangy, so Caramel Blond has that very orangy tone, while Kupfer is exactly the same in terms of light/dark, but slightly less saturated (so it's a more natural-looking red-gold). And Walnuss is a light-medium brown with red and gold tones.
As for a copper color, there's Kastanie, which is identical to #350 (or #35), Hasselnuss, which is a tiny bit lighter than Kastanie, and Fichte, which is slightly less intense than #130.
That's most of the reds right there. If you want me to look lighter or darker (there's some more red-blondes and red-browns), let me know.
I totally don't mind doing this for people, btw, and I know the color rings are expensive, so if anyone else wants me to reality-check a color for them, just poke me.

Oh wait, I forgot about the other color ring, sorry. Bronze is an awesome color, very bright red like #130. One thing you may or may not like, though, is that it's a metallic. I swear, it's very subtly sparkly. And while that looks beautiful, if you're going for a dead-natural look, it won't look natural.
If you want an intense natural red, go for either Fichte or Chilli. Chilli is about the closest that a natural color can get to burgundy. It is a natural color, but very rare (funny enough, the same color an ex-boyfriend of mine used to have naturally. Whoa.)
