Well, I got my Bliss hair today and the hair is BEAUTIFUL!!!! As some of you know I have been having bad luck with this hair extension stuff - still having no luck. Bliss seemed to have sent me someone else's ORDER - UGHHHHHHH!!!!! I have a beautiful order of Black 12-14 inch hand tied extensions instead of the Med. Brown 19 inch I ordered. I called them and they said for me to ship it back and they are sorry and don't know what happened. I hope they give me some perk or someting because I was not into paying shipping again to send it back. So if anyone out there might have mine is it nice?

On the bright side at least I have a preview of how the hair is and it is very lovely and soft and smells great. Wished they packaged the hair a bit better though. My hair was sent wrapped in saran wrap and put in a Fed Ex envelope. My feeling is with all the money I spent on this hair I think they could present it in something better than saran wrap.

The mix-up sucks, and I'm surprised, frankly: I've heard such good things about their service.

The saran-wrap thing is a bit distressing, too...I wonder why they would send it like that? Well, ultimately, I suppose it's the quality of the hair that matters.

Good luck; I hope this works out!

Dang Kimbearly that sucks, I hope Bliss corrects the problem, maybe they will send you some extra hair for the mix up. They do send the hair in saran wrap, which I'm really not crazy about. I hope the hair you received will give you an idea of the quality of the hair. Keep us posted.

Is there a reason you didn't ask Bliss to reimburse you for their shipping error?

PS: And while we're on the subject of Bliss, perhaps I'll send them a scathing note about their shipping and tax. (I already just sent them a few lines about the saran wrap. )

Of course I had the option to opt out when I saw the shipping price but I wonder why anyone charges $11 to ship 2 ounces.

The post office supplies flat rate envelopes for $3.85. And they supply flat rate boxes for $7.70 regardless of weight. I know. I ship my soap in these and what would cost someone $20 or more, they pay only the $7.70 and I don't rip them off.

And, pray tell, why are people outside Nevada paying 9% tax on the hair? I am assuming Bliss is paying the IRS for this?

I'm starting to get pissed at this company and I haven't even got the hair yet.

I talked to Bliss today and the manager was very nice (she better be) and said she is going to talk to the person who packaged my order. She also told me that she almost never has hand-tied wefts 19 inches long in stock because none of her clients order that long, (then why is it posted on their webpage?). She does carry the longer hair in machine made which she said 98% of her clients order anyway. She also told me that the machine made is also very thin so I just went with this kind. She is going to make-up the difference in hair for the money I spent (golly gosh wow, thanks :O)~. Amm, to answer your question about shipping she ships FedEx 2 day so I guess this is more? Amm, I wish I had your balls regarding matters such as this. I always get tongue tied.

Well, we don't have a definitive verdict on Bliss yet. Hopefully, it will all work out for you, Kim; otherwise, they will lose a lot of business--not only yours, but also from anyone else who was considering them on this board.

In addition to the shipping costs (and I agree with you about that, AMM, 100%), what's amazing to me is that in this Internet age, some companies, salons, stylists, etc. (not all, certainly, but quite a few--and we all know who they are) aren't bending over backward to provide the very best service possible. Don't they know we all chat about this stuff online, and it only takes one bad review to cast a shadow on their business? A rave review or a terrible one are preserved forever on Google. Anyway, it never ceases to amaze me....

Again, it sounds like Bliss is trying to fix the situation here, and hopefully they will come through....

I'm crossing my fingers for you! :)

I don't know, Kimbearly, I guess I'm just a typical Type A with a Sicilian temper. I get pretty upset about bad business ethics. I get downright angry spending good money for crap and I'm notorious for speaking up about it. I do have to be careful because I can be extremely blunt but I try to never hurt feelings purposely.

With that said, if the Bliss hair turns out great, I will laud it to the heavens. If it's bad, they will get reamed out in the open. It's all about accountability. If someone's going to advertise something, it best live up to the claim.

The Saran wrap is no big deal to me personally. I always take hair out of plastic and wrap it in clean tissue anyway. The stuff can arrive in old bologna wrap. As long as it smells good, is clean and is good hair.

This will be my last human hair purchase as well and I knew that when I sent off the payment. I don't believe in the ethics of the human hair industry. I'm afraid of unsanitary hair and lice. I'm tired of silicone coatings that do nothing more than hide hair that was more than likely gathered from the floor. And while I believe in making a buck, I'm tired of lining the pockets of unhonest people whose only goal is to make money.

I'll get off my soapbox now.
