Just wondering if this type of hair (since I believe the cuticle is removed) can be colored or will it damage it?

It won't damage the hair much, unless you're using a high-lift or bleach. I've bleached Bohyme myself, and it did work, although I'm sure it damaged the hair to some extent. Going darker or simply changing the tone a bit shouldn't give you much trouble. Semis and demis are generally recommended for extensions, including Bohyme.
