Tell us about yourself, please. What kind do you do? How many heads have you done? Do you have a specialty? Details. Thanks

welcome to the board alihair and Scottyroo. Please share with us your knowledge and experiences. This is a great board with many DIYers and experienced professionals who come here and help each other out. But please share info and not adverts as new posters who come here to advertise only are not well recieved. But welcome to the board and we look forward to you sharing your knowledge!

I live in Huntington, Wv and I do the Great Length extension. I took the class in South Beach, Miami and love doing the extensions! There isn't a HUGE amount of people in this area that can afford to pay for the extensions so I'm taking it as it comes, done about 10 though. I'm a hair dresser/colorist so thank God I have a great business aside the extensions. You know, teenage boy to raise, need extra money!! LOL! "baby needs new shoes!" Or something ALL the time!

Hi, thanks for the invitation. I'm so keyed about this forum, i can't even tell you all. I'm a cosmetologist but we didn't learn extensions in school. I've only done four heads so far, so I'm a complete novice. It adds a whole new dimension to my work and that makes me really jazzed. Oddly, I didn't do so well with wefts, but had a really positive experience with pinchbraids, so I'll stick with those for a while.
Everybody who does their own extensions should be totally proud of themselves. I think it rocks to take your hair in your own hands. Hairdressers are like everybody else... a large portion are full of dooky, but the rest are just trying to get by doing something fun.
I hope I'm with this board for a long Time!!!

Oh, I forgot to tell you the most important thing. I did the weekend Hairpolice gig, and those girls couldn't be finer; that said, I got a graduate education from Rae's pinchbraid link.
I have the tools and just need to get the skill level up. thanks again.
