Here is the thermofiber that Sally stores are getting in sometime this month (assuming it's a large enough store): http://www.sallybeauty.com/in-store_images/p10.pdf - http://www.sallybeauty.com/in-store_images/p10.pdf

It's Sassy Futura Silky Straight weft. Now, this sounds similar to the Fretress Futura that Sherrie tried, but I guess it's just a different brand. (Is Sassy the name of Sally's own brand of hair? I've never seen it elsewhere.)

Has anyone else run into this stuff before? If it is Sally's own brand, then I guess not. I promise to investigate if it comes in this week.

Oh, and here's the thread about the Fretress, if you want to refresh: http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB%5FAP934431446&id=3851&sr1=freetress&sr2=&ExMth=no#post3938 - http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB%5FAP934431446&id=3851&sr1=freetress&sr2=&ExMth=no#post3938

Yep tried it and its ok, didnt curl very well but I wore it for about 2 weeks, washed it about 6 times and it was ok, its just so very very very silky I couldnt get it to integrate with my own hair. Didnt tangle or matt up like the human hair Ive tried.

My local Sally's finally had the thermofiber out today. Unlike the WaWa which says it's yaky, this stuff says silky straight, and it is. In fact, it might be too silky straight for my hair. It also looked rather shiny, but that might just be the package. Like Sherrie's freetress, it said futura fiber on the package.

I considered buying it, except for the following concerns:
1. It's only 14", meaning that it's no longer than my real hair (and probably even a little shorter).
2. It's $15, and I'm trying to spend as little money as possible this month.
3. The colors selection is limited. My hair normally falls between 2, 4, and 33. I looked at the #2, it was too dark; #4 didn't look any lighter. It was the darkest #4 I've ever seen. It doesn't come in 33. The only color that might have been usable is 1b/30.
4. What am I going to do with it, anyway?

hey leia - my local sally's has the new thermofiber. basically in black and the good ol' 27/613 blend. I just really looked at it in the store...but that stuff is really, really, really silky and shiny. even more so than the regular sassy synth hair. the 27 portion has that kinda slightly off mauvey look?

to my novice eye from a distance comparison, the hot stuff fusion (the only other thermofiber i have seen locally) is less overtly synthetic, imo.
