My Barbie Pink 50mm PLastikhair came in. See, when I ordered my Blut Rot Sara sent me straight by accident (it was labeled wrong and I never took it out anc checked it, and the extensionist just put in what I told him too)
So I am going to replace the Blut Rot with the Pink. The Blut Rot is MUCH MORE SHINY than the barbie pink (sara had mentioned that in another thread. ) This hair came with a rubberband at one end where as some of her other hair came with like cardboardie stuff at both ends.
I only pulled it out to take a pic, i haven't brushed it or anything, yet.but it is DEF wavy!

Wow, that is a bright pink (it looks much brighter there than on the PH color chart). While I'm not a big fan of pink (I think my mum dressed me in too much of it as a child), I think that color is going to be sensational with your blonde!

It is more like the Barbie Van that the color it appears on My monitor. MIND YOU, my bf broke my monitor and I am on some monitor dug out from his fathers basement that is 16 bit or something so I have NO IDEA what this looks like on anyone elses computer LOL But it is NOT shiny, and it is a NICE BRIGHT BABY PINK (if that makes sense.)
I want it to be pink streaks (I have left over blonde) instead of a whole layer like the red was

Oh, the other difference, did I mention this hair felt thicker more like dome hair than plastikhaar. it was not as soft as my other plastikhaar.
(kalika. i know, if i see jenny's hair i want her hair, and if i see someone with streaks i want that... the grass is always greener.)

Greener indeed--now I want the pink!
It's interesting that some colors are matter and others are shinier. I definitely need to invest in those color rings! :)

That is a fab pink. I used the hairraisers rose pink and it looked quite similar to that one although the plastikhaar one looks alot brighter......I have to have it.

pritty pritty. I am anxious to get over the experimentation hump, then I can be more wild. Staying safe here in the beginning lol.
Pink is my signature color. LOVE IT and can't wait to throw in some streaks. Anyone know of any pics online with a brunette with the pink? I can't imagine how it will look since I have only had the pink in while young with platinum and every pic has the pink and blonde. Can't picture it with any shade of brown, but I don't want to bleach my hair any more

Shaman, I don't know of any pink-and-brown combos offhand, but you might want to try the Show-Offs section at Quinn's--there's bound to be something there. :)

Nice gift for V-Day you lucky girl. Is it one of those colored ones? Pink maybe?? My hubby got me the coolest Balloon - It sings when you hit it. What will they think of next? (shaking head). My kids kind of took that gift over but mommy got to keep the pretty flowers

ADINA, Mine and Jenny's hair is done by pinchbriads, "hairpolice" method. www.hairpolice.com
pinchbraid is a small braid used to attach the hair. it is almost like this http://community.webshots.com/photo/100809390/103954149cijQkl - http://community.webshots.com/photo/100809390/103954149cijQkl
but not wrapped. string is incorporated in the braid and then tied off at the end to keep the braid from slipping. here is a HOW TO http://www.hairalchemy.com/tutorial/index.html - http://www.hairalchemy.com/tutorial/index.html

Adina, the only downside to these, in my opinion is that sometimes they are itchy and you have to refrain from scratching bc you can break your hair, so you have to pat.
Maybe someone else has another downside, but for me thats it.

Adina~ if you're also interested in learning other methods for your clients ........ I just contacted Hairpolice in Minneapolis, and they have a three day seminar for $1000. They teach you pinch braids with human/synth, dreads, perm dreads....etc. They are still coming up with the next set of dates for the classes. I really want to take this class especially now these girls have me checking out PH and Dome hair!!

STS, I have brown hair and I've had pink in it. I know that's not as reassuring as a picture, but I thought it looked fine. I think it really works as an undercolor on brown....I saw this one girl at Hot Topic once with blunt-cut brown hair and the last inch was pink. It looked great!
