I will start and if anyone wants to follow through feel free... My name is Kimberly and I am 34 years old. I live in NJ (near Princeton) with my husband Michael who is 37 and our two children Christopher who is 6 and Nicholas who is 3.   The blond hair is from my husband's side of the family (his hair looks darker in this picture though) - LOL  We will be married 10 years this May  At the moment I am a stay-at-home mommy but will resume teaching in another year (certified K-8th grade). I play percussion instruments in a community band, love the beach, amusement parks, dancing, shopping, and of course being with my boys and Mike. We also have a puppy Cookie who is a Bichon Frise. She is 6 months old.  Glad I found this board filled with other hair junkies who love playing with their hair as much as I do.  |

Ahh - great Idea. *ahem* Hello, My name is Anna, and I'm a hair-a-holic  Im from Seattle but now live in a small town most people have never heard of. I honestly believe Im the ONLY white girl in the whole state who wears extensions, lol Im 21 years old, and moved here right after i turned 20, although I've been living on my own since I was 17. Im an exotic dancer by night, and computer nerd/hair junkie by day. And thankfully I have no children, lmao, but I have a cat... I'm from Huntington Beach, CA. I have my Degree in Elementary Education from California State University Long Beach... I haven't used it yet but maybe someday when I have children of my own. I typically work 6 days a week doing extensions and in my free time I'm getting an online shop up and running for all of your extension needs. I'd like to get an actual shop opend in 1 years time so wish me luck. Can you see my new nose ring? I know it's tiny.... I'm so proud that i didn't chicken out! LOL!  Yes, I'm a nerd....  This is my Boyfriend. He's from New Zealand. We've been doing the LONG distance thing for 8 months now... I just got back tonight from dropping him off at the airport....  .... Hi, my name is Metalgirl (aka Lisa) and I am also a hair-a-holic! I live in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains on 6 acres. I have no human children, but do have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 bird, and 2 donkeys. I am married to a metal musician (drummer) and have been with him for 9 years. I have been a licensed stylist for 14 years, and I also have a bachelor's degree in Marketing. I work like a maniac, many hours a week, mostly doing extensions, but also a lot of color work too. In my free time, I play with my animals, design and sew my own clothes, and do mosaic tile art. Hey Guys - My name is Meredith. I am in between jobs right now, thinking about going to school FT. I am a ct licensed Ins Agent so I can always go back to that if I want, and I love computers.... I am marrying Tim in June, we have been together just over 2 years. We have four cats, a chihuahua and a ferret. HE is autistic though you would never know it. HE has been on special diets (he was gluten and casein, soy and egg free but now he is on a specific carbohydrate diet, though he is still free of those aforementioned foods...) and all kinds of therapies and is doing amazing. Hi i've been browsing this board for a while and I haven't been a member on here for as long as you girls but I thought I should introduce myself....I am 21 years old (22 tomorow) and I live in London UK. I work full time as a hair extensionist at a place called Lucinda Ellery. once I left high school I studied hairdressing and worked as a full-time mental health nurse then found my way back into hairdressing. I love hair and most of all hair extensions. I live in London with my boyfriend who I have been with for a year and a half and we have a goldfish named lou-lou and we are in the process of looking for a puppy (maltees breed). Hi! I don't know how to do pictures yet... but you all just wait. To start, I have to say I am struck by how intelligent, diverse, and beautiful you all are. Hair is power! My name is Christina, I'm married and 35 years old. We have a two year old, a corgi a cat and a yellow lab. (by the way are those doggies Kuvasz? Lisa?) I have a degree in classics, and am a licensed stylist. The diploma course at Vidal Sassoon in London rocks by the by. I like color and extensions best, but I also do airbrush tanning and am learning airbrush body art. The biggest thing on my mind this new year is that my husband and i sat down to write a check to the Red Cross after the tsunami and realized we had no cash because we'd just spent a bunch of money on stupid hallmark crap over christmas. Learning from that experience is my new year's resolution and putting it out there will hopefully help me stick with it. ------------- |

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and an alcoholic brother in law that moved in with us last October(ugh)...oh yeah and IMA HAIR ADDICT!! Right now Im a full time student, graduating Fall of 2005 in computers. When Im not a wife, mother, student, I make jewelry, mess with my hair, read sappy romances, mess with my hair, cook, mess with my hair, play games on the internet, and oh yeah MESS WITH MY HAIR... I'm 41, been married for 11 years, have a 7 year old daughter, and am the chief operating officer of an import and distribution biz that I started 3 years ago. (I just sold my company to a wholesale jewelry company, so if y'all ever need any jewelry wholesale, just lemme know. . .) I go to China from time to time and gotta tell you that I have a secret dream of putting together a "ladies shopping trip" to Shenzhen. Oy! the BARGAINS!! So here's a list of my loves in no particular order (except HAIR which goes at the top!!) having fun, humor, wit, beauty, intelligence, interior design, art and creative expression, good food & wine (OK the wine can be cheap, I admit), riendship spirituality, motherhood, individuality, constant exploration and growth, um, let's see. . .I think that's it. Hi ladies! My name is Maggi, and I live in the "OC" in California. I've been married for four years to my best friend. We have no kids, but two beautiful Doberman Pinscers, and two sweet kittys. I got my cosmetology license in 1980, and have been doing hair in salons ever since. About a year ago I took some classes and started doing hair extensions in the salon. I have grown to love all of the cool, fun, truly transformative things that can be done with extensions. One of my first hair extension clients was a girl who's hair had thinned due to some medication she was taking. When she saw herself in the mirror after her install she started to cry, because she was so happy to have full beautiful hair again. She's now on her third set of extensions and just loving them. It was truly a heartwarming experience for me to be able to help her feel better about herself. My other passions in life are yoga, tattoo collecting, cooking, wine tasting, and soul searching. I'm grateful that I stumbled upon this message board, and want to thank all of you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge in such an open friendly way. To Scotchyroo: My dogs are Great Pyrenees, or in Europe I think they are called Mountain Dogs of the Pyrenees. The Hungarian Kuvasz is a cousin to the Great Pyrenees. They are big gentle babies. Alexa weighs about 135 pounds and Frazier weighs about 125 pounds. Yay, picture time! My name is actually Janene, but the whole Leia thing started in elementary school....I had waist-length hair that my mom made me wear in two braids everyday, so the girls thought it was fun to twist the braids up into big Princess Leia buns. I'm 25 and have been messing with my hair since I was about 15 (Sun-In is eeeevil!). I have B.A.s in communication and music, and yet I haven't been able to get a full-time job in the 2.5 years I've been out of school. I'm also certified in radio broadcasting, and that's where I met my boyfriend, who is the music director of my old station.  That's the two of us on our first anniversary back in October (where he really needed a haircut). I live with my parents, brother, two cats, and a dog. I can't yet afford to move out, but once I get a "real" job, my bf and I will get our own place. I also used to be in a few bands (couldn't find any good pics, though). I played keyboards in a punk band...that was fun. Here is a pic of me singing at the Alameda County Fair last summer (the hair is fake, and the outfit mostly home-made).  ------------- |

 Hi I'm Amanda I'm 30 and I live in Nottinghamshire in the UK with my toyboy fiancee Dean (22) whom I am getting married to in Cancun in April this year. We live with our cat midnight and four rescue dogs called Kimi, Isaac, Bruno and Marcus who are all Lhasa Apsos and are all adoreably cute. I work as a full-time Legal Secretary at a small Law Firm and am a mobile extensionist evenings and weekends and I also do nails. I really love doing extensions and get great job satisfaction out of putting a smile on a client's face, that's what its all about for me. I hope to go back to work part-time and do extensions part-time also when I've had my first baby xxxxx The picture is Christmas just gone xx |

First off, everyone's pets and significant others are adorable! So, hi, I'm Rae. I'm kinda new over here but I've been active over on Quinnster's boards for quite some time. I've been messing with my own hair for 5ish years now, and doing extensions professionally for about 3 years. I'm 22, and live with my boyfriend in Chicago, but we're both originally from San Francisco (*wave to other Bay Area people here*). I'm a full-time student (Columbia College, Film major, graduating in a few months if I'm lucky) and part-time extensionist. After I graduate I plan on going to cosmetology school (because hey, why not rack up more student-loan debt?) and start doing extensions full-time. In my spare time I go out dancing and drinking with my friends, sew my own clothes, study Russian and Yugoslav history, and spend waaaay too much time online. :) Here's me and my boyfriend, Matt (sorry the picture is so big!)  That's from last May. I don't have the eyebrow piercing anymore, and my hair is usually down covering the undercut, but that's about what I usually look like. WOW! I muast say, as well, that everyone here looks just wonderful with thier extensions. My people... (wipes tear from eye) Well, a little about me. My name is really Stefanie (my daughter's name is Hannah, and I am currently dealing with a sicko-stalker-type at work/home, so I like to have anonymous logins everywhere. I am 28, and live in Murfreesboro, TN with my 3 1/2 (going on 25) year old daughter, Hannah, and my fiancee Greg (who is her dad...long story for another board). I work for a cell phone company full-time as a Project Coordinator (Mrs. Zeta-Jones is our spokeswhatever), but have been pursuing my Business Administration degree part-time since Fall 2003. I got my first set of extensions just 7-8 months ago, but I am addicted! I have been a beauty-fashion-makeup junkine since about, oh...5 years old when I got my first bottle of blood red nail polish for my birthday, and am the proud mother of a blossoming junkie-prodigy (every Friday night, me and the Hannah-girl have a beauty party and we paint our toenails and fingernails - It drives her dad nuts). I don't have any recent photos of my dark brown extensions yet (they are only three weeks old and holding up nicely - Great Lengths), but will hopefully get some done soon. I also had braces on for the past year, and had them taken off only a month ago. I have no new photos of me without them either, so maybe I'll get my darling, wonderful fiancee to snap a few. I have an 8 yr. old, Nathan and a 3 month old, Nolan. I have my cos. license and have been dabbin' in hair for as long as I can remember. I actually just recently got my license, prior to my hair occupation I was a Loan Officer. I love this board, everyone is so great! Hey all... name's Robin and I live near Atlanta, GA. I'm 35, happily married and have two cats! My hobbies are working out, home improvements, flower gardening, ridin the motorcycle with hubby, downloading music and burnin CD's, customizing my mustang, & drinking wine! We live in a neighborhood where everyone just hangs out at a different house each night getting intoxicated, throwing darts/horseshoes, watchin the Braves, eating, and being just plain goofy. Hubby is a DJ at the Oasis (nudie club) and also does radio/TV voice overs... if you watch Nascar, you have probably heard his voice! (He does the commercial for Nascar.com) Apparently, all my pics are too large to post here so I'll try to get some that will work soon..

OKay I haven't gone. This thread predates my registration. Anyhow, my name is Alyssa. I'm in my mid twenties (I'll never tell!!!!!) and live in Rhode Island with my husband Gabe (30, no problem telling that one). We've been married 4 years and have a dog and two guinea pigs. I'm a full time student getting a PhD in physics. No idea what I'm going to do with it anymore but I've been at it for long enough that i"m going to finish. Besides, it's a job and I don't want to have to hunt down a new one. I fiddle with hair. Mine, friends, my sisters, recently the whole cast of Brown's production of Mikado... I read (scifi, trashy romance, murder mysteries, thrillers...) and write (trashy romance) when I have free time from work and I'm not doing hair. Okay what else. Oh I have a General Hospital addiction but it is in remission lately. I'm naturally a brunette witha hint of red (moreso when I actually get to see the light of day) but i'm crazy going gray. I've been f@#$%n with my hair since I was 14. I go back and forth between wanting a natural look and wanting something crazy colored and fun. I've only been doing the extensions thing for about a year now but I'm ridiculously confident in my hair bleaching/dying skills for a non professional. Maybe more confident than I should be, but I do have quite a bit of experience. tada! :)al |

I live in MA, married, working in a Boston hospital as an RN on a cardiac floor and love animals and traveling, reading, the beach, hair, and I volunteer with an animal rescue group fostering dogs. I have a very talented JRT and a cat.

Hello everyone! I'm glad this thread has come up as
I'm super new here, although I have been on the Hair ezboard for a few years. My name is Kathrin and I live just outside of Glastonbury, Somerset in the UK. I have two lovely boys, Theodore Vincent (4) and Dorian James (2) and live with my husband Derrick. I'm more of a dreads and braids sort of person, but I've got such a lot of clients and friends who want loose extensions that I'm finding this forum really helpful! I got into extensions about 5 years ago after I cut off my natural dreads, which I'd had for 20 years. Going from mid thigh length hair to shoulder length was a bit of a shock and I missed my big hair so I learnt to fake them, and I must say I'm so glad I did! I make a nice bit of money doing my customers hair, but I don't have time to do it full time at the moment. My children take up most of that! |
